Padres 9, Rockies 2. Eleven runs. Under 10.5 does not cash. San Diego put up seven in the second off Tanner Gordon — Bogaerts went deep, Merrill and Bogaerts both tripled, and the inning never settled. Two more in the fifth made it 9–1 before Colorado scratched one late. The total cleared ten-and-a-half before the middle innings were done. We bought King's season against a soft Coors starter. King did his job: six innings, two earned, six strikeouts. Colorado did not stack him. Gordon is the half that broke — three innings, ten hits, seven earned. The under needed both sides quiet. Only one was. The fade we named was Gordon hanging pitches and the Rockies stacking early against King. Gordon hung them. The Rockies did not stack. The Padres did, and that was enough to push eleven. Yesterday's Tigers dog stalled in Toronto. Today the Coors under goes the other way on Gordon's second inning.
