Recap, Aug 29, 2026

We smashed the under this afternoon. Last night the over cashed. Two in a row. Feels good.

Tigers won 2-1. Combined 3. That’s a win on Under 7.

Both starters kept it to one. Blake Snell (Dodgers LHP) went five innings, one earned, ten strikeouts, no homers. Keider Montero (Tigers RHP) went 5.1, one earned, no homers. Same story.

Detroit scored first. Gleyber Torres (Tigers 2B) hit a ground-rule double in the third, his 12th of the year, and Javier Báez (Tigers LF) came in. Los Angeles got one back in the sixth when Freddie Freeman (Dodgers 1B) singled Alek Thomas (Dodgers CF) home. The second run was the ninth: Kevin McGonigle (Tigers SS) singled Báez in off Jack Dreyer (Dodgers P). Kenley Jansen (Tigers P) finished it and got the win.

We wanted two quiet nights and a 7 that held. We got that. The fade was one Dodgers stack against a 7. That did not show.

Comerica, partly cloudy, 80 degrees, wind 10 mph right to left.
