Recap, Sep 11, 2026

We smashed the over tonight. Last night’s Rangers ML broke. Feels good to be back in the win column.

Cardinals 7, White Sox 3 — combined 10. That’s a win on Over 8.

St. Louis stacked three in the fifth. Joshua Báez (Cardinals LF, hitting fifth) went 3-for-4 with two RBI. Leo Bernal (Cardinals C, hitting sixth) matched him — three hits, two RBI. Alec Burleson (Cardinals 1B, hitting fourth) drove in two. Jordan Walker (Cardinals RF, hitting third) scored twice. No Cardinals homers — crooked innings.

Anthony Kay (White Sox LHP) went four with three earned. Matthew Liberatore (Cardinals LHP) went 4.1 with two earned, both Chicago shots. Chase Meidroth (White Sox 2B, leading off) went deep twice — his 13th and 14th. Trevor Richards (White Sox RHP) leaked the fifth: two innings, three earned.

We wanted two starters worse than the league and a posted 8 against a 9.24 pace. Short starts showed. Cardinals bats showed. Fade was Liberatore carrying it and eight exactly pushing — neither hit. They scored 10.

Busch Stadium, overcast, 75°, wind 6 mph in from right.
