San Diego put up seven in the second off Tanner Gordon — Bogaerts went deep, Merrill and Bogaerts both tripled, and the inning never settled. Two more in the fifth made it 9–1 before Colorado scratched one late. The total cleared ten-and-a-half before the middle innings were done.
