Minnesota scratched two in the first on a Jeffers sac fly and a Josh Bell single, then Walker Jenkins went deep in the seventh for the third run. That was the whole night. Angel Stadium never opened up.

We bought two soft arms against eight-and-a-half — Rodriguez's WHIP as the underbelly. Both starters settled instead. Prielipp went seven with two hits and eight strikeouts. Rodriguez lasted 6.2 with three earned and no walks. The traffic we priced never showed.

The fade we named was the park going quiet early if both arms found the zone. They did. Eight-and-a-half needed a crooked number from somebody. It never arrived.

Yesterday's Coors under missed when Gordon blew up. Tonight the over stalls at three. The number never moved.
