Recap, Aug 27, 2026

The under crumbled tonight. We were just back in the win column last night. Different story here.

Brewers won 8-2. Combined 10. That’s a loss on Under 7.

Milwaukee had 4 on the board after two innings. Jackson Chourio (Brewers LF, hitting 1st) went 4-for-5 with two homers and four RBI, his 18th and 19th of the year.

Jacob Misiorowski (Brewers RHP) did his job. He went 6 innings, two earned, two hits, six strikeouts. The Mets only scored twice on three hits. Sean Manaea (Mets LHP) leaked: 5.2 innings, six earned, eight hits, one homer.

We wanted the best arm on the board and a quiet Mets lineup. We got both of those. Milwaukee’s bats did not stay quiet.

The fade that showed up was last night. Milwaukee scored 8 yesterday, and they scored 8 again. That plus Manaea hanging crooked innings early is why 7 crumbled.

Citi Field, overcast, 74 degrees, wind 10 mph out to left.
